Ex-MG driver, Josh Cook gets a last minute lifeline as Maximum Motorsport driver and team owner Stewart Lines opts against driving. This season was not looking good for ex-MG driver Josh Cook after being released by Triple Eight Engineering during the winter along with team mate Ashley Sutton. However, it has been announced that he will race Maximum Motorsport's Ford Focus ST instead of team owner Stewart Lines, after he suffered an injury in a biking accident.
Cook is obviously pleased and is looking forward to the new oppurtunity this season will offer. The Focus is being run by Team Parker this year and has gone under a number of improvements over the winter. There is no reason why Cook cannot challenge for regular points and podiums.
